Social Issues

I am a strong proponent of protecting the family. It is the fundamental unity of our society and has been under attack for years now and they are not slowing  down.

I volunteered  for the "YES for Marriage!"  Proposition 102 campaign to add an amendment to the Arizona Constitution defining marriage as a union of  one man and one woman. I was pleased to see it pass along with every other state marriag
e initiative in the country when put to the voice of the people. I will fight to maintain the rights of the family, especially those of parents.  Schools are not the place to teach 'alternative lifestyles or life 'choices' as they may put it. We need to protect our children from sexual predators exposure from pornography in public places such as libraries.

Life is precious. We need to protect it from conception to old age. No ONE is disposable. Except for protecting the life of the mother, incest, or rape, I believe our Constitution and moreover our God-given rights dictate protection of the unborn. I also do not believe in driving  unwed mothers to have no other choice. I am a strong advocate for adoption. One out of every seven couples cannot conceive children. Every child deserves to be born in a two parent home. I know life is not ideal and there are unforeseen circumstances in our lives but it doesn't justify murder of  a life that only the miraculous power of our Creator could design.

I have recently discovered Family Watch International. What a wonderful organization whose goal is to stand for the family.  I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Sharon Slater their president and a Gilbert resident.   My wife and I were inspired by their tremendous efforts and accomplishments at the United Nations and in national and state initiatives.  They are changing minds and hearts.

Please check out their website and get involved.
